WE TV Network’s Wedding Report Information Appears in a Growing Number of Major Publications

By Paul Pannone

When major news sources need facts and figures about the wedding industry all they have to do is dial WE TV Network’s Wedding Report and ask its founder, Shane McMurray. That was the case last week with The Wall Street Journal. In the Greater New York section over the weekend, TWR statistics were referenced by the WSJ, citing how different cost of getting married are in New York in relation to other parts of the country.

The heart of the WSJ piece cities the cost of a wedding jumping 22% nationally but only increasing 2% in the greater New York market. “It’s great to know about national information but in order to help the average business owner we have to dig deep into his market and provide timely, pertinent data that directly relates to him. Once we do that he can then compare himself to the national average and see how he fairs,” says McMurray. Reports said TWR was mentioned on television in Germany last week on stories involving the upcoming Chelsea Clinton wedding.

Since 2005 the Wedding Report information has appeared in major publications, on television and a myriad of places where the definitive data involving weddings were concerned. “We’re always getting questions about the wedding industry and we’re glad to provide our top-line information to anyone that asks us,” says Shane McMurray. With a growing support and reach in the business, McMurray says he feels confident he can grow the Wedding Report even further, providing better market data to regional vendors.
