The Wedding season officially starts on Monday, April 5th and ends November 26th, 2010, resulting in 235 days or 7 months, 21 days of wedding season. From all indications, bookings and overall business remains flat in most areas due to the economic factors, cutbacks in spending and an increase in the number of vendors offering goods and services.
Depending on what methodology to which you subscribe, how active a season will be is correlated to when Easter falls. In 2008, Easter was March 23rd; last year in 2009, Easter fell on April 12th; next year, 2011, Easter comes last on April 24th.
Through the years we’ve heard many different opinions but have never been able to directly correlate a successful theory to the start of the season. This year especially, the season is being impacted by the current economic factors, not the seasonality or timing of the year.
