Months Later Boston Bridal Scammers are caught

By Paul Pannone

Four months since the last update, a bridal show scam in Boston, MA, that managed to dupe commercial advertisers and exhibitors out of fees and other monies has re-emerged. The latest information from the Department of Justice, District of Massachusetts, has indicted KAREN TUCKER, 47, of Pittsburgh, Pa., arrested upon a criminal complaint charging her with one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.

TUCKER and an uncharged co-conspirator allegedly pretended to be a company they called “The Boston 411” and used aliases for The Boston 411's employees, according to the complaint.

Additionally the complaint fans out the investigation to other areas of the country beyond Boston. Columbus, Ohio, Las Vegas, Miami and Dallas-Ft. Worth are among other cities named in the complaint, besides Boston. Melinda Massie in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area told eWedNews, “I don’t know if they’re the same scammers running Dream Wedding Bridal Expo, but there’s this is what the BBB has on it.  http://www.bbb.org/dallas/business-reviews/trade-shows-expositions-and-fairs/dream-wedding-bridal-expo-in-dallas-tx-90249499  And last I looked, the expo’s website still says that they’re having it.  I never had contact with anyone from the bridal show other than the manager friending me on Facebook. I got this info from a friend of mine that owns a bridal boutique here in town. I Just thought I’d let you know what was going on!”
