Despite scurrilous threats and objections, eWedNews’ Wedlock story releases.

By Paul Pannone

An ongoing investigation into the launch of a new trade publication called WedLock struck a nerve this weekend that, despite vehement objections and scurrilous threats, was released to shocked readers.

The Wedlock story involves a questionable history between a cast of players that are portrayed on the internet as a bunch of alleged scammers, according to web sources.  Graphic depictions and unconfirmed statements that are being researched by this news source struck a nerve at Wedlock, as eWN questioned the involvement of co-founder, Jason Hennessy and Brad Fallon, as we sought clarification of their past involvement at a project called StomperNet.

A conversation with Fallon alleged that Hennessey’s partner at Wedlock, Jayne Hallock, was working on the magazine, along with other family members while employed at Stompernet. “We were interested in the niche’ market but the main focus of our business was still SEO and web site optimization,” Said Fallon.  He said Hallock was the last to leave Stompernet, after her husband was laid off because of a high salary. According to Fallon, Hallock’s sister that was also employed at Stompernet, left before Jayne Hallock left. Also according to Fallon, Jayne Hallock left only recently. “The next thing I hear is that they’re launching this magazine; I wish them all the best,” he told EWN.

Throughout our conversation with Fallon he was nothing but cordial. When we asked how Hennessey was involved at Stompernet, he called him an “intern”. When eWN tried to contact Hennessy to confirm, that’s when the fireworks began. A tirade that lasted over 30 minutes vehemently objected to Fallon’s allegation and, according to Hennessy, said he was a paid executive with the firm.

The Copiague, Long Island Hennessy became enraged that there was further questioning of the story, after talking with eWN last week, promising to send a copy of the new publication for review. “Don’t you do any positive stories? What’s the story here? If you write anything about this, I am going to make sure that anyone that searched for eWedNews or Paul Pannone are going to be re-directed to a page that will have some very unflattering information!” screamed Hennessy.

Beyond the online threats made by the new print ad publisher, an implication to “ties” in Staten Island, New York, alleged that this reporter’s health could be at risk, should the story break. We welcomed Mr. Hennessy’s challenge and are happy to say, we made it through the weekend and look forward to speaking with him again since Mr. Hennessy came to his senses and apologized for his outburst via text message.

eWedNews will continue to investigate this and every story, regardless of Hennessey or anyone else’s displeasure.
