As suspected, yesterday’s announcement regarding the Great Boston Bridal Scam links the Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas market to the activities that took place earlier this year in Boston. After four months of investigations and cooperation between Massachusetts local authorities and the FBI, answers and indictments are finally forthcoming.
In Dallas it was discovered that an event billed it as the "Dream Wedding Bridal Expo" claiming it was being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine this December resembled the March scenario depicted at the Hynes Center in Boston. Like the Boston scenario, The Gaylord in Texas had no information on leaked publicity involving the venue in a planned bridal show. Melinda Massie, a savvy planner from the area told eWedNews, “I think the one by me is a scam as well. They’ve been advertising for a while, but my understanding is the Gaylord has never heard of it, much less have it booked.” Massie provided her suspicions to eWedNews yesterday before the story broke today.
eWedNews continues our own investigation into this story, as well as other scams and hucksters involved in bridal show planning.
