For years the worry of lower prices were felt to be at the core of declining demand for men’s formal wear rentals. Cheap imports and higher gas prices affected tuxedo rentals in the summer of 2008. The required three trips to the rental store forced consumers to spend more, considering the final price of renting and associated costs, leaving nothing to show other than a credit card charge to pay at the end of the next billing cycle.
